Frequently fluorescein angiography is performed to evaluate retinal disease. A technician will photograph you using a digital camera system. This study requires a small injection of vegetable dye into a vein in your arm.Serial photographs are taken of your retina through a dilated pupil. The test takes approximately 15-20 minutes. Dr. Weber will review the results with you. Most patients tolerate this test very well without any side effects and do not require any pre-medication.
